Terms and conditions
  1. Commission
    indigo agrupaciones commissions rent vehicles to you throughout Spain at attractive constant prices. The contract of lease is made with the respective vehicle lessor at his terms and conditions.
  2. Minimum Age
    The minimum age of the vehicle renter has to be 21 years. This is especially relevant for Spain. In other countries the minimum age can be over 21 years. The driver must have had a driving licence for at least 1 year.
  3. Prices
    All given prices are in Euros and include the Statutory Value Added Tax of the respective country.
  4. Payment
    Payment is usually done via credit card which at the same time serves as the lessor’s security. When tours to Spanish holiday destinations are booked via our website no credit card is required. It is only with the contract of agreement at the respective place that the credit card is asked for at the car rental station. An advance payment is thus not necessary. In case that you do not possess a credit card you can also pay the according sum of the rent sum in cash in the Balearic area. In this context the required security deposit can be left in cash as well.
  5. Reservation of vehicle categories
    You never reserve a particular model but a vehicle category which corresponds to specific vehicle criteria such as size, number of seats or equipment of the vehicle. We are certainly eager to provide the car which you desire to rent. In case that a vehicle of your category should not be available you will automatically be given a car of the following higher category.
  6. Extra equipment
    Extra equipment such as children’s’ seats, roof luggage carriers, snow chains and similar items can be additionally booked for extra charges.
  7. Rent time
    The minimum rent duration is 1 day. 1 rent day equals 24 hours. For example, if you rent a car at 11h the rent day ends 24 hours later at 11h. If the 24 hours are exceeded, an additional time period will be charged by the lessor at his rate of charges. Please note that you will not be refunded in case you return the vehicle earlier than agreed upon.
  8. One way rent
    In case that you want to rent a vehicle at one place and return it at a different place – thus, the vehicle rental station is not identical with the place where you wish to return it – this is usually not a problem at all as long as the place of return is not in a country different from the one where you rented the vehicle in the first place (always depending on the respective country where the car was rented in the first place). We would ask you to inquire about possible extra charges / contractual supplements.
  9. Fuel regulations
    Due to the fact that we co-operate with different vehicle lessors there are different variants of fuel regulations. Please pay heed to the respective fuel regulation which is described at the place of the reception of the vehicle.
    1. empty to empty – you receive the vehicle without petrol (the amount of petrol is always sufficient to get to the next station) and return the vehicle without petrol again.
    2. full to full – you receive the vehicle in a filled-up condition and you are obliged to return it refuelled.
    3. full to empty – you receive the vehicle filled up and return it without petrol.
    The latter variant is certainly the most comfortable and mostly practiced. Please bear in mind that in this case the price of the amount of fuel (depending on the type of vehicle and fluctuates between 40 and 65 € depending on the fuel prices again) will be charged upon return of the vehicle (this amount of money is not included in the lease sum). Make sure to return the vehicle without fuel – a refund of a possible remainder of fuel is not possible due to organizational reasons.
  10. Protection in case of Rescissions
    In case that you have to cancel the reservation of a vehicle, this is usually possible charge-free up to 24 hours before reception of the vehicle (Balearic area excluded). In case that you should not be able to cancel the reservation in due time, 40% of the total rent price will be charged. For the Balearic area we recommend rescission insurance. You can effect such an insurance in the respective car rental station. A protection in case of rescission after a completed booking is not possible.
  11. Promotion
    If you should possess some kind of certificate indicating a price reduction (i.e. voucher, coupon etc.) issued by indigo agrupaciones, you can redeem it upon agreement. Please note that it is only one such price reduction that can be redeemed per booking process.
  12. Repairs
    Please inform the respective local vehicle lessor in case of a puncture or damage. Vehicle repairs are not to be carried out without the consent and confirmation of the vehicle lessor. Usually (but under the provision that you are not responsible for the puncture or damage) you will be provided with a new vehicle. You will find the relevant telephone numbers on your contract of lease.
  13. 14.) Liability Insurance
    Depending on different legislations in the different countries where you rent the vehicle the liability boundaries / limits will also vary with different vehicle lessors. Please inquire about the current liability boundaries / limits.
    If a liability case occurs where the extent of damage surmounts the respective sum insured of the liability insurance issued at the vehicle lessor, no insurance protection is given anymore. You always have, however, the possibility to exclude such a risk by means of an additional insurance which you can effect at the vehicle rental station. Please note that arising charges will not be taken over my indigo agrupaciones. Please pay heed to the insurance details which will be given to you when the contract of lease is issued. We want to draw your attention to the following points where you are not protected by liability insurance:
    1. Damages of your own vehicle
    2. Damage caused due to alcohol consumption whilst driving
    3. Damage caused due to medication or drugs whilst driving
    4. Wheel damages
    5. Rim damages
    6. Loss or damage of the vehicle’s key
    7. Glass damages and claims of any kind
    8. Damage due to lack of attention / negligence such as filling up the car with the wrong fuel
    9. Damage at the bottom side and oil pan (caused whilst driving on rugged terrain)
  14. Security Deposit
    When the vehicle is collected at the pickup station you have to leave a security deposit. A credit card is required at the majority of vehicle rental stations. The rate is usually based on rental price, the equivalent amount of a fuel fill and the rate of self retention in case of damage. In the Balearic area the security deposit amounts to 600 €.
  15. Collision Insurance
    It can generally be stated that at the time of rent you effect a collision insurance or a similar / comparable insurance against cases of damage of the rented-out vehicle. In foreign countries such an insurance is labelled a SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver). In case you should rent out a vehicle in a country where the Collision Insurance is only possible with self retention, your security deposit will partially or entirely be used for the coverage of the sum that is not insured by the Collision Insurance. The amount of self retention as well as liability boundaries / limits of the insurances differ according to the insurance company. The respective conditions will be handed over or given for inspection by the vehicle lessor. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the following situations are not covered by the collision insurance:
    1. Damage caused due to alcohol consumption whilst driving
    2. Damage caused due to medication or drugs whilst driving
    3. Wheel damages
    4. Rim damages
    5. Loss or damage of the vehicle’s key
    6. Glass damages and claims of any kind
    7. Damage due to lack of attention / negligence such as filling up the car with the wrong fuel
    8. Damage at the bottom side and oil pan (caused whilst driving on rugged terrain)
  16. Cases of damage
    What has to be done in cases of theft or when an accident occurs?
    1. Please note the regulations of the contract of lease
    2. Inform the police immediately and ask for the damage report and / or the theft charge (note the officer’s number or name)
    3. Immediately inform the local vehicle lessor
  17. Guarantee
    Upon reception of the written booking confirmation, a service contract between the renter and the owner / service provider of the booking object / rental vehicle who has to provide the services is issued. In the context of this service contract, indigo agrupaciones does not undertake responsibility / liability – neither of immediate, joint or subsidiary nature. In addition, indigo agrupaciones does not undertake liability for contractual obligations that possibly arise between the traveller and the owner / service provider of the booking object. This exclusion of liability embraces all claims for compensation with regard to loss of property, material damage and / or injury to persons.
  18. Cause beyond control
    indigo agrupaciones does not undertake liability for consequences of cause beyond control such as wars, civil disorder, storms, strikes, lock-outs, power cuts, hijacking, terror attacks, natural disasters of any kind (such as fire, floods, earthquakes and similar phenomena).
